An “Application to Vary or Discharge a Financial Order” is a formal request in family law or divorce cases.
When a married couple decides to split up, they need to divide their money and property, often done through
a court-issued financial order. But as circumstances change, they may want to change or cancel this order.

“Application” is the formal request made to the court, “Vary” means making changes to the order, and “Discharge”
means canceling it. The rules for this process can vary by location, so it’s wise to consult a family law attorney
who knows the local laws. It’s also a good idea to try mediation or negotiation before going to court to settle things amicably.
